We Fly High, No Lie, You Know This…BLOGGIN!!!

Hi friends. Today we are going to get right down to business. I will discuss the Super Bowl on Wednesday. ESPN has given us enough information on the “big game” next Sunday. I have watched 55 episodes of LOST since last Saturday. I am honestly starting to become a bit overwhelmed. I have some mixed emotions about the show so far. At times, I am amazed by the complex characters, unpredictable plot, and interesting subliminal messages. Unfortunately, there are other times where I lose complete interest in the show. I think that some of the episodes are irrelevant to the series as a whole. I also feel like all of the drama and suspense comes in the last two episodes of each season. Sometimes I wonder if I could have gotten away with learning about the characters on Wikipedia, and watching about 6 total episodes. Don’t get me wrong, the show is awesome in so many different ways. I really hope that when I finish the third season I can come back with a reaction of, OH MY GOD!!! This show is AMAZING!!! I may add an entry on LOST every Thursday evening/Friday morning. It will only focus on LOST. I will make a post before the show for readers to comment on, and then discuss comments and my thoughts after the show. Let me know if that is something you all might be interested in. Today I am going use the same routine you are all familiar with. Some sports talk, some tunes to RAWK out to, a what’s hot list, and the YouTube section. Thanks for all the comments and questions. I will answer some of the questions this Wednesday. Keep them coming, it makes writing these entries that much more enjoyable.

Relax Readers… or Maybe Not!!

This past Monday, LeBron James announced his plan to release a pair of New York Yankee inspired Nike tennis shoes. The shoes will be released this March in retail stores ONLY in New York. This is not the first time LeBron James has shown his love for arguably the largest sports market in the world. Many Cleveland fans vividly remember James rocking a Yankees cap at “The Jake” during the 2007 MLB Playoffs. These recurring New York incidents have seemed to draw a little buzz in the Cleveland area. People are starting to sincerely believe that Bron is foreshadowing his departure to The Big Apple after the 2010 – 2011 NBA season. In this section, I am going to explain to you both sides of the ongoing argument amongst Cleveland fans.

LeBron James has several reasons for leaving the cursed city of Cleveland. The first reason comes from a personal goal that has been well documented over the past few years. James has expressed his wish to become a billion dollar athlete. If this is high priority to Bron, expect him to run to New York when is contract ends. As I mentioned before, New York is possibly the largest sporting market in the world. LeBron James will be able to use New York to launch himself globally. I am not saying he is headed to the Knicks either. James longtime friend and part New Jersey Nets owner Jay-Z has expressed his interest in moving the team to Brooklyn. Will LeBron James greed or close friendship with Jay-Z lead him to New York? James will also leave Cleveland because of the horrendous front office of his current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. The organization has not put the pieces in place to give the Cavaliers a legit chance to win a championship. Larry Lugheser, amon ones (no D, sometimes J), and old man Marsh (Donyell Marshall) are not the players to support James. It’s tough to make a move when millions of dollars in unwanted contracts are riding the pine. Why wouldn’t LeBron head to a team where the correct moves will be made, and he has a true chance at a title? These will be very prominent factors when it comes time to make a tough decision in this young mans life.

Settle down Cavs fans. LeBron James is not going anywhere, anytime soon. James understands the magnitude of bringing a championship to the fans of Cleveland. LeBron has the pulse of Cavs fans. He knows full well what breaking the Cleveland Curse will do to his legacy. I think people underestimate the fact that James grew up around Cleveland. Why would he want to leave his family and friends behind for a few more dollars in New York? LeBron has been a stand up guy throughout his career. For 13 years, he has been under the media microscope. Besides playing Speed Racer a few weeks back, James has done nothing to hurt his image. Why would he turn his back on fans that have supported him since his high school days at St. Vincent St. Mary? I have not even started to discuss the basketball aspect of this huge option for LeBron. Many of these terrible contracts mentioned above will expire around the time James is ready to pack his bags. The Cavs will be able to build around LeBron, hopefully creating a championship caliber team. When it is all set and done, LeBron James will have his #23 jersey hanging in the rafters at the Q, next to an NBA Championship banner. Relax Cavs fans. LeBron James is going to be dominating the hardwood in a Cavs jersey for the rest of his career.

What’s Hot

This list is tough to make on a weekly basis. I have decided that I am going to only run this section twice per month. I am thinking of some ideas for a new section on the other two Sundays. If anyone has an idea, feel free to send me it.

1. Apple TV appletv.jpg

This item was released back in 2007 and never really caught on. Do you really think Steve Jobs would let one of his products fail? On January 15, 2008 Jobs announced an update to his struggling toy. Itunes will now allow users to rent movies directly from the Apple TV device itself. Jobs has dubbed this item “the DVD player for the internet.” Basically is what it does is allow you to stream videos from your computer onto your high definition TV wirelessly. I think it would be pretty neat to be able to watch YouTube on a nice quality picture. Look for this item to become a bit for popular in the future.

2. Grand Theft Auto 4

Here is the trailer for the revolutionary game that we had to hide from our parents a few years back. It does not come out until April 29 on PS3 and Xbox 360, but this video automatically drew me into the hype. I have read that the game play will be much different than we are currently used to.

3. Blue Ray Disc Players blu-ray_discsvg.png

A bit expensive right now, but prices should begin to drop shortly. Best buy recently announced that they will no longer carry the rival HD-DVD format. I guess it is safe to say that a winner has been declared in the high definition DVD format war. This is an excellent purchase for those of you who left an excellent picture on your TV

4. Sharp Aquos 1 inch TV thumb463x_sh1_11.jpg

These neat big kid toys come out in March. This will be the first TV released in the next generation of high definition television. Look for the industry to head toward very thin televisions in the near future. As with any new tech toy, prices will be outrageous for a few years. I am excited to see one at Best Buy, the only place I will ever get to watch one.

5. LOST lost-logo.jpg

After reading my introduction about Lost, I am sure some of you think I am not a fan of the show. This is not true. I am very excited for the season four premier on Thursday. I honestly hope that the end of season three is awesome and will make the countless viewing hours all worth it. A problem I have made watching this show has been comparing it to The Sopranos. Big mistake. I am very excited to be able to discuss everything with all of my friends. Tom is the best character thus far.

Keep on Rockin in the Free World!!

Here are some tunes for you all to download. I hope you enjoy them. I always have a great time deciding what five songs that I think people will enjoy the most.

1. Ryan Cabrera – Reasons

You can make fun of me after you listen to it. I know we will probably never hear anything from him ever again, but if he did one thing great, it was this piece of work. I think Cabrera is a pretty talented musician that was marketed the wrong way. Give this song a play and tell me your thoughts.

2. Jim Jones – Ballin (Giants Remix)

This is in honor of the Super Bowl next week. This is a fun song using Giants players within the lyrics. Make sure you download this and bump it all day next Sunday. One time G-Men. If you can not find it, I can send you it. It is also on YouTube.

3. Blue October – Everlasting Friend

Not much to say about this song. Blue October has a few good songs and this is one of them. Give it a shot and see what you think.

4. Counting Crows – Shallow Days

This is a b-side from the August and Everything After CD released over a decade ago. There are two versions of this song, acoustic and the regular version. I am willing to bet any music fan they will enjoy one of the versions of this song.

5. Do or Die – Pimpology

Many people haven’t discovered Do or Die. This rap group sounds almost like Cleveland favorite Bone Thugs and Harmony. Give this song a chance and do a little research on this group. I enjoyed their second CD Heads or Tails for months back in my junior high school days.

YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Thanks everyone for taking time out of your busy schedules to read my rant. Have a good week!!

  2. LOLOLOLOLOLOL at ices comment

  3. Dave Williams Says:

Ice I think its ok to spell out S H I T on keith’s blog. I do agree however that the clip could quite possibly be the best thing ever to be captured on video. KJ I need your help with something. I had a little party at the house on Saturday and had everything you’d expect. Girls, kegs, an altercation with some black kids who decided to crash. The one problem was music, something you know a little bit about. My question is what are the best 15 party songs that you would like to hear at a house party?

  4. Keith I like your input on the Lebron situation. If you were the Cavs management who would you look to go after in 2010-11 when we have some free cap money in order to “put the pieces together”?

  5. Tyler Cortelezzi Says:

Kj, Stay strong with LOST. Ice I will also extent an LOL that just almost got me in trouble at work. LOL again. As for great youtube clips, from what I hear Dave’s late night actions this weekend had the potential to top bird shit. (Dave feel free to elaborate). I will say that Dave’s question is so good that I will second that question and not summit one of my own because I want to hear that answer so bad. I would also like you not to answer Jay’s question because it is obvious that they need to go get the greatest pressure player of all time…RON LEWIS. Please do not let Dibac post anymore. I can not even understand what he is trying to say!

  6. Thats like the pot calling the kettle black

  7. Uncle Keke Says:

OH MY GOD!! LeBron is releasing a NY Nike shoe big fuckin deal. he should talk to Damon Jones, He could probably haul in 10x more in the pacific rim bycoming out with an egg roll shoe. The rich get richer. Play basketball, play basketball, play basketball. Let him leave, I’m sick and tired of the other four guys standing around picking their asses waiting for the chosen one to perform. Give me the ball I’ll shoot the god damn thing!
Lebrons a BALL HOG!!!! SUP KJ SLEVO!, SLEVO!!

  8. Turtle- good stuff again this week. although i dont give ashit about lost. fuck lebron. whats more important a championship or money, especially when u already make millions. greedy n. and tell tyler that i was just sayin that osu isnt gonna be as good as everyone thinks. new coach up north to look out for. im loookin foward to your answer to jays question. its a good one. hahaa and uncle keke rawks!! oh yeah and ryan pontbriand is a prow bowler, thats 4!!

  9. houserradio Says:

Good shit kietamins. Heres my beef with this weeks entry…. are people really speculating Lebrons future destination based on the colorway of a show he put out? Theres obviously a chance he doesnt re-sign, but to think that this shoe is some sort of indication of his departure is ludacris. The guy put an NY shoe out last year too…. as well as an LA shoe…. as well as a China shoe… where was the speculation then? Lets save the “Lebron’s leaving” rumors for 2010 when theyre actually going to have some substance behind them. My question for you this week is NBA related. There’s obviously going to be a blockbuster before the deadline… whats your prediction as to what the blockbuster will be?

  10. Steve Latkovic Says:

I’ll give you a tune Keith. I’ll give Ben Strachan the credit for getting me into this band but its called “Better Than” by the John Butler Trio. “Used to get High” is also a good track. I enjoyed reading your page…keep it up man!

  11. I love ur site, keep posting
